My (nick)name is Kaethel and I'm a 30-year-old French woman. I live in the Western part of France (the prettiest part, I think ;)) and I'm a primary school teacher. I teach a year 2 class, which is a lot of fun because I get to teach the first bits of reading and writing, and sometimes it feels like magic, though it's a lot of hard work both for the children and their teacher. ;)

I'm utterly in love with the English language and adore travelling to English-speaking countries. On top of teaching literacy, numeracy, humanities and various other things at my school, I also teach English to the year 2-3 and the year 5 classes. Maybe someday I'll do more than just teach it and actually move to England. That'd be brilliant.

I read and write fanfic, though I'm a slow writer and need the occasional kick in the rear to stop procrastinating. I've been writing stories for ten years, first for the Lois & Clark fandom, then Doctor Who and a German show called Verliebt in Berlin.

My main writing interest these days is Doctor Who, though. After a quick spell of lack of interest throughout series 3, my love for the show has returned with a vengeance since the start of series 4, because I adore Donna Noble and how refreshing her relationship with the Doctor is. And I'm still a huge Ten/Rose shipper. My favourite pairing is (no kidding) Ten/Rose, though I also love Ten/Jack, Nine/Rose, Nine/Jack, OT3, and am progressively turning into a Ten/Donna shag-shipper (something I never thought would ever happen, honestly)

Over the past few months, I've also become a big fan of other British shows, such as Life on Mars, Ashes to Ashes, and Torchwood (Owen/Tosh rule!) I haven't written anything for these shows yet, but you never know... And I've just discovered Blackpool (starring our very dear David Tennant), and this show is turning into a bit of an obsession for me at the moment, so you might find quite a bit of Blackpool-related stuff on my LJ over the next few weeks, months, years, who knows? ;)

My journal right now is mostly about Doctor Who, a mixture of reaction posts to the episodes and fanfic. All fanfic and meta is public, but most RL stuff and fanfic progress updates will be under lock. Enjoy, comment and friend if you like! :)
